Family Field Trips: “See It, Be It”
Some of the best lessons happen outside the classroom, and they're even better when you learn them together. Each quarter, you and your littles explore opportunities, from science labs and museums to courtrooms, hospitals, and behind-the-scenes career visits. Because growth doesn't have an age limit, and big dreams start early.
Hub partners “Busy Bee’s” can also host a “See It, Be It” family field trip.
Resuming in 2027. Families, join our newsletter to be the first to know. Organizations, partner with us to host a trip.
Host or Sponsor a See It, Be It Field Trip
We're looking for partners from Seattle to Tacoma to host, sponsor, or collaborate on educational and hands-on experiences for families. You can open your doors for a visit, lead an activity, cover admission or transportation, or provide a meal.
Experiences we're looking for:
Careers and workforce: company and office tours, trade apprenticeships (construction, electrical, plumbing), job shadow days, career fairs for families
STEM: science centers, robotics and coding labs, aviation and aerospace, university labs and campus tours
Health: hospital and clinic tours, meet-the-nurse or EMT days, fire stations, nutrition and cooking classes, fitness experiences
Law and civics: mock trials at a courthouse, city hall visits, meeting local leaders, police and community safety open houses
Life skills: banking and credit union visits for financial literacy, grocery budgeting challenges, etiquette dinners, public speaking workshops
Business and entrepreneurship: youth business simulations, visits with local business owners, salon and small-business behind-the-scenes tours
Arts and culture: museums, theater backstage tours, music and recording studios, art studios, TV and radio stations
Nature and outdoors: zoos and aquariums, urban farms and gardens, park ranger hikes, ferry rides and maritime visits
New and fun: escape rooms, interactive exhibits, library maker spaces, sporting events with behind-the-scenes access

Collaboration, not competition.
There are already amazing people across our community doing powerful work for families, and we believe the best way to serve moms is to stand alongside them. That's the heart of our name: moms face many struggles, so they deserve support for all things. No single organization can do it all, but together we can wrap every family in the care they need.
The Busy Bee Hub is our collaborative network of partners from Seattle to Tacoma. If your organization or business supports youth and families in any way, we want to know you. We'll connect moms and their littles to your programs, services, and opportunities, and refer families your way when they need what you offer. Hub partners can also host a See It, Be It family field trip and open their doors to moms and their littles. We practice what we preach: when we lift each other up, families win.
